Upper Body Hot And Sweaty And Legs Cool. Is The Variation Due To BP And Cholesterol Medicines?
Hi, I'm a 39 year old male and for the last month I wake up in the early hours of the morning with my upper body very hot and sweaty, but my legs are cool. Sometimes when I add a small blanket over my legs, my legs warm up and my upper body cools down and then I can go back to sleep again. I'm on high blood pressure and cholesterol meds, can ths affect this problem?
I am so sorry to hear about this temperature variation. I am not sure this is related to drugs or a complication of high blood pressure. I will suggest you always try to stay warm by putting on thick cloths/stockings and cover up with blankets when sleeping.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Feel free to ask for clarifications and more information if need be. I wish you well. Thanks for utilizing our services, we very much appreciate it. Dr. Ditah, MD.
