Upper Molar Removed, Root Fragments Left Behind. Suffered Constant Sinusitis With Cough. No Relief With Antibiotics, Nasal Spray
Hello I had a upper molar removed but it broke up leaving root fragments behind. Sometimes I get a little sore or swelling but nothing major.however this was fifteen years ago and for those fifteen years ive suffered severe and constant sinusitis accompanied by a cough. Doctors have tried all usual antibiotics and nasal sprays but none will say if it could be caused by the old remaining root. It has seriously affected my life and if there was a chance its due to the root I would so greatful to know. Thankyou.
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic. It is always better to get the broken root fragments extracted irrespective of sinusitis. The infection lurks in the gum surrounding the root fragments and causes repeated infection of the throat ear as well as sinuses.
