Upper Thigh Has White Spots, Flat. What Could This Mean?

Hi!
Tiny white dots on my upper inner thigh have appeared. They are completely flat, as small as a pin head.. maybe less than a millimeter, a few quite close together, covering an area of about half the palm of a hand. I have slightly tanned skin, and the dots are white. I have no other symptoms.
Do you have any idea what they could be?
Thank you in advance,
Tanya

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi thanks for writing here.Your description is suggestive of idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis. It is a condition where some small tiny dots appear suddenly .They spread for some time .They are benign and subsides with time.Start applying placentrex gel followed by sun exposure.Mostly they recover.Only thing for concern is to rule out vitiligo. You can consult a dermatologist for it .Take care.
