Hi,
I understand your concern.
Urinary infection in pregnancy, does not affect baby directly, but it can have adverse effect on course of pregnancy . long standing infection leads to hampered maternal health as well as raised blood pressure. It can affect fetal growth, & delivery also.
- To avoid such complication you need-
Get your urine examined ( including routine examination-specially albumin in it.),urine culture test guides for choosing antibiotic.
Consult your treating doctor immediately, & start taking treatment as per his advice. The infection should be completely controlled. So
Take Rest
Take full course of antibiotics, as per doctor's advice.
repeated urine check ups to exclude recurrence,
taking plenty of water
good genital hygiene
Please do't worry, controlling infection & avoiding it's recurrence would help you.
Thanks.
