Using Vasmol To Dye The Beard, Bitter Taste In Mouth. Is This The Dye Absorbed Through The Skin And Any Side Effects?

I apply vasmol weekly for dyeing of my beard...but after 15 minutes of application i start feeling my mouth getting bitter taste..which remains practically for whole day
I wash off the dye after app 1 - 2 hrs of application
Is this dye getting absorbed through my skin and being ingested in my body...what are possible chances of me landing into side effects of vasmol congestion??
Is this very serious and i should refrain from using vasmol

Hi,

Vasmol contains paraphenylene diamine (PPD).

PPD is a toxic chemical.

After application to hairy areas, it may be absorbed into blood and may cause unwanted side effects.

It can cause bitter taste.

It can cause local and systemic side effects.

Irritant and contact allergic dermatitis are known side effects.

Hypermelanosis of the skin anywhere in the body is another side effect.

Exacerbation of skin diseases like psoriasis, lichen planus ..etc may be there.

Urticaria and angioedema may be caused by PPD.

There are reports of association between PPD and certain maligmanacies..like non Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, bladder carcinoma..etc

It means that it seems to be carcinogenic.

Bronchial asthma may be precipitated.

In coclusion, it is found that dye containing PPD is toxic ,and can cause short and long term bad effects.

And therefore , one should avoid to use such products, including vasmol.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
