Using Vic Sinex. Suffering From Nose Blockage. I'm Pregnant. Treatment Needed To Get Off Nose Blockage?

Hi, I've been using vic sinex for 8 months it started with a cold and then felt like I need to keep on using it. I've tried to get on the nasal spray but my nose get so blocked I can even speak. I've now stared to only it in one Nostril the right one and letting the other one suffer. It's been 3 days now and it's still blocked. But when I lay on my right side the nostril I've kept vic free will clear and when I turn over the over side it's blocks again. I am 8+ months pregnant and just need to info to get off this. Please help. Thank you.

Hello,
The nasal spray you are using should not be used for more than 5 to 7 days because the prolonged use of oxymetazoline results in dependency on this chemical which results in rebound blockage of nose on withdrawl of this nasal spray.
You should stop using it and better to use FLUTICASONE nasal spray along with steam inhalation.
After few days of FLUTICASONE spray,you shall be all right and dependency on VICKS SINEX won't be there any more.
Avoid cold drinks.Take more of hot drinks and take VIT C tablet twice a day for 6 weeks.
