Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse, Pain During Sex, Light Inter-menstrual Bleeding. Causes?
I recently started bleeding vaginally after sex...enough that it covers the condom tip of entry. Also, it has become more painful (a tearing feeling) although I am with the same person for 3yrs now. My cycle came on Dec 25 thru Dec 31st which is normal. I had sex on the Jan 8th began to bleed and has not stopped. This blood has an odor similar to menstrual but of a different color and texture and not as heavy as normal cycle would be. What could this be??? Please help
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for this type of pain and bleeding during intercourse, these includes. 1 Leiomyomas of uterus , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination , clinical history and ultrasound of uterus. 2 Endometriosis is the another cause , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of uterus . 3 Cervicitis or cervical erosion , diagnosis can be confirmed pap smear test. 4 PID ( Pelvic Inflammatory Disease ) is another cause. In my opinion consult a gynecologist and get his opinion as physical examination is important in such type of cases. Good luck. Dr. HET
