Vaginal Hysterectomy Done Few Weeks Ago. Discomfort, Sore In Abdomen, Pelvis. Suggestions?
Had a vaginal hysterectomy, anterior and posterior repair nine weeks ago. All seems ok but still having twinges and abdomen is constantly bloated and uncomfortable. Have just returned to work at a post office, my job entails getting on a chair using the counter to lift myself, stretching to reach parcels and lifting. Did two hours where I was tearing items that were perforated and elite e it or not this actually pulled on my abdomen and pelvic area leaving me feeling sore, how restrictive should be?
Usually some amount of pain abdomen is common after hysterectomy due to internal adhesions etc. The healing of wounds will be completed by 2 months after surgery in general. So no need to worry. But avoid continuous working and avoid positions that are leading to pain. Take rest in between, walk for sometime. And avoid heavy weight lifting. If the pain persist better to consult gynecologist once. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
