Varicocele Pain In Right Testicle, Pain Bearable. Can Have Surgery After Few Years Later?

varicocele pain in right testicle, can i have surgery after 5 more years?
hi i'm 22 years old, i'm suffering from right varicocele since i'm 19years old.. The pain is tolerable, about 4 out of 10 (10 is the most painful).. My doctor (general surgeon) suggested me that i can have surgery next time, after marriage if fathering is delay. My doctor also told me that surgery is NOT NECESSARY as of now, so i can wait for more than 5 more years before having surgery. is my doctor right? thanks! :)

I am so sorry to hear about your battle with varicocele. As your doctor rightly said, surgery is not mandatory and only indicated if you have severe symptoms or difficulties fathering a child. i am so happy that you found a doctor who could put it clear across to you and not always rush to the theater for procedures that could have otherwise been deferred.

For now, try to use lifestyle modifications to reduce and take care of your pains. try to get a supporting underwear, avoid standing for long periods and also getting indulged in very demanding sports that often provoke your pains.
