Vision Improvement After Laser Surgery For Vitreous Hemorrhage ,is This A Long Time To Develop More Complications ?

My father developed retinal tear and vitreous hemorrhage in one eye suddenly with bleeding in the nerve. With doctor's suggestion he underwent laser surgery immediately. He is 50 yrs of age and had no diabetes symptoms. Now its been 4 days since the operation is done. I want to know that how much time he has to wait for vision to regain. Doctors have said to wait for 15 days. Is it OK to wait or is this a long time to develop more complications ?

My mother had vitreous hemorage too. we got this laser eye surgery done last year. she was better. the doctor said it will take 15-20 days for the tear to heal completely. but she took almost two months for her vision to retun back to normal.

6 weeks is the approx. time for most of these recoveries to occur.In the mean while you have to have periodic checkups to rule out any complications which may arise and dealt with.long term follow up is also necessary

GAINING VISION AFTER RETINAL SURGERY IS NOT A MAGIC.
it will take time for vitreos hemmorhage to resolve and you need to go for regular retinal examination.
