Vocal Cord Nodules Patient. Will I Be Able Continue Teaching Or Surgery Is Required ?

iam a patient of vocal cordnodules since 4 years.Being a teacher it hasbecome v difficult for me.Would a few months rest of some sort help me? Am afraid of the risksinvolved in surgery.Cant teach my own children after school. Thats the worst thing. Am allergic, have sinusitus.how long will i be able to teach or is it recommended to leave the job? will i be able to teach my own kids afterwards?na

The voice rest is the way for that but it is bit difficult, but still you keep it trying, while speaking just low down your tone, try to peak near to whisper level, speech therapy can be tried, it will come around definitely without surgery but may take longer than enough time till then you have to take care of your voice not shouting or coughing loudly, avoid speaking unnecessarily have nice day.
