Was Diagnosed With Cutaneous Mastocytosis. Is There No Proper Cure?

Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with cutaneous mastocytosis. Several doctors have assured me there is no cure. I am blessed that it is mostly on my thighs, but am not happy with my dermatologist s lack of concern. I am ready to find a new doctor and wonder if I should search beyond dermatologists, perhaps oncologists? I live near the Piedmont Triad/Research Triangle of NC, near many medical centers. Any advice?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

The doctors are correct.

There is no definitive cure for mastocytosis.

The itch and lesions can only be controlled by using anti histamines and mast cell stabilizers.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
