Water Leaking From Nose. History Of Stroke. Taking Medication For BP, Diabetes, Cholesterol, Blood Circulation. Recommendations?
Hi, my dad is 64 year old and tonight he woke up because water leaked out of his nose. Two years ago he suffered from a brain stroke and his last MRI was a year ago and the Doctor didn't indicate anything new. He takes medicines for high pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and blood circulation. He hasn't been too active for the past month and says he feels light-headed. I searched for some answers. Some answered allergies.. some CSF. I would like to help me try and figure it out please. Thank you.
Apparently he is unable to swallow properly or close the soft palate properly, a second or repeat cerebrovascular event like a cerebral haemorrhage or infarction need to be ruled out in view of previous history of stroke.A physical check up by his doctor and imaging studies like CT/MRI scan will be needed. The treatment will be specific to the cause found.
