Watery, White Discharge And Constipation. Diagnosed With Fried Vaginal Walls And Closed Cervix. What Does This Indicate?

i have had ovarian cysts since 15 years old ad they are painful. i used to bleed every so often. i have had 1 miscarriage and one live birth that was rough. 3 years ago my pap was unsatisfactory but never was aware. then last august 2012 i was hospitalized for 5 days because i had PID from an iud. now i bleed during sex every single time! and through out pap smears so i took out iud because it was painful. doctors have let me know i have a "fried" vaginal wall and my cervix is pretty much closed and thats it is it's own form of contraceptive. i have had random spotting and a clear whitish very liquidy discharge that has a different odor than my normal discharge, i have lots of random bruises and im constipated but when i can go it hurts my back and it takes forever to let my urine go. my most recent pap non hpv said NIL?? Whats going on with me! help please!

Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

Possibly you have a traumatic cervical stenosis following the normal delivery that was rough according to your history. The IUD added to the problem for which you had to get it removed. The abnormally smelly discharge per vagina could be due to a persisting vaginal infection, which could be investigated by a vaginal swab culture sensitivity, a urine routine and culture sensitivity test and an abdominal ultrasound.

The pain during passing stool is due to the constipation which might have resulted in a fissure in ano. This needs regular sitz baths, an anti inflammatory, and a stool softener along with an antibiotic if need be. You have to also go for a high roughage diet with enough liquids to avoid constipation.

Further management would depend on the reports of your investigations along with a physical examination of yours by your treating gynaecologist.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
