My hearing became blocked, went to doctor, he said I had wax deep in the ear. Medical assistant, irrigated my ears. The wax did not come out. I was suppose to go back for another irrigation, but I got up dizzy so I didn't go back. I took some motions pills and rested. It got a little better but hasn't gone away completely. The back of my neck seems to be sore when I wake up. I've been trying to sleep carefully. I am going back to the doctor and want to be referred to Ear Specialist. what do you think...
For conditions like impacted wax it is better to be treated by an ENT specialist. Usually, you need to apply ear drops (such as Soliwax) to soften the wax for 3 days before it can be removed without pain. Dizziness is common when such procedure such as irrigation or syringing the ear is attempted. I do not know the protocol in your country, but if you could ask for an ENT referral, please do that.
