Weight Gain, Bloating During Periods. Due For Hysterectomy In 3 Months. Possible Cure After Surgery?

I am 50 years old and am having a hysterectomy Nov 1 of 2013. I changed jobs last October where I am basically at a desk job. I have since gained like 15 pounds but I try to walk at least 1.5 hrs daily. Until I have my hysterectomy, I get my period every 22 days where I get bloated and gain weight. Will this continue after my surgery, and will the weight come off better.
