Weight Loss, Skin Rashes, Fatigue, Spitting Blood. Resemblence To Any Disease?

My husband who is 51 years old, has been loosing weight, has skin rashes, fatigued a lot, and now is spitting up blood, all in which has been going on for about 3-6 months except the spitting up the blood that started about 2 days ago. These are a few symptoms of my husband, who keeps making excuses for each. I work in a hospital, and have seen it all. I keep telling him that he needs to get checked. I suggested he get an physical. HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Unintentional weight loss is always a concern.
The associated fatigue and spitting of blood is also a little concerning.

You are right in saying that he needs to be evaluated by his doctor.

With a history of unintentional weight loss, the first aim of your doctor would be to rule out any form of cancer.
He or she may suggest initial bloods such as full blood count, ESR (checks for inflammation), kidney and liver function tests.
Imaging tests such as chest xray may be suggested , particularly due to the spitting of blood which imply possible involvement of the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract.

Severe or untreated infections or untreated chronic illnesses can also cause weight loss.

I hope this helps and your husband seeks assessment.
