Well, yesterday, I was using a pair of heavy duty loppers to cut a large root. To get more pressure, I put one of the handles against my torso, then used both hands to pull the other one toward me to cut the root. As I did so, I felt a "popping" sensation in what I realized was my xiphoid process. I pressed it to see If I could evoke pain, but there was none. Same with deep breathing; just a "sensation", but no pain. Today, it's a little tender. I am 66 years old, if that makes a difference.
