Went Swimming And Left Ear Got Blocked. Tried Ear Drops. Hurts. On Medication For Hypertension. Advice?

Hi Doctor,

I went swimming 6 days ago and my left ear was blocked. I tried various ways to clear it but to no avail. I went to a GP who gave me an ear drop that he said would help as he said that the wax in my ear was semi solid thus causing the blockage. It's been 6 days now and my ear is still blocked and now it's starting to hurt whenever I burp, yawn or if I apply any pressure on it. Please help. Thanks.
I'm 36, Male, on medication for hypertension and overweight.
