What Antibiotics Should Be Taken Based On My Widal Test Report?

I had done my widal test. Is it positive or negative? Salmonella O = 1:40 Salmonella H = 1:80 I had typhoid infection in October 2013. I am feeling feverish every time so I did widal test. Please tell me what I do Can you suggest me any antibiotics?

Thanks for writing to HCM

You have negative widal test.You are not suffering from typhoid fever.
Salmonella O or H antigen titer values equal or greater than 1: 160 is considered as positive.
However four fold increase in titration is confirmatory.
Fever may be due to other reasons.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Chest X-ray(PA view),Ultrasound of abdomen,Urine RE/ME.Further investigations can be done if needed.
Proper treatment depend upon clinical findings and investigation reports.
