What Are Chances Of Pregnancy After Clot Was Pulled From Cevix?

Hello, I think I am having a miscarriage, I started spotting on the 22nd April, I went into a&e with a terrible UTI and when the gyny checked my cevix she pulled out a clot but says it was just blood and my cervix was still closed. I then went for a reassurance scan and the lady said that I have a Pregnancy of Unknown Location..... I have now stopped spotting and went for hcg bloods.....do I have any chance this pregnancy is still viable or is it likely a miscarriage......

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Your gestational age is not mentioned, and some times the gestationsl sac can be difficult to visualize early on, in pregnancy. I would this either recommend a repeat ultrasound scan conducted by an experienced ultrasonologist or a visit to your doctor.

As your doctor mentioned a closed cervix, I am hoping the pregnancy is still viable. But of course, we need to investigate to confirm the same. Go for a repest ultrasound in 1 weeks time.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
