What Are Delayed Periods In Spite Of Being On Diane 35 Suggestive Of?
Hi. I have PCOD and I have started taking Diane 35 for it. I didn t take it for my last cycle because I wanted to see if my periods had regularized after 6 months of continuous use. Since they hadn t, at the advice of my Gynae, I started the cycle again after waiting for 10 days for the period. I missed 2 pills in the cycle. In between, me and my boy friend had sex 1 day - 3 times. We used protection+pull out method. We used condoms with spermicides, we checked that 2 hadn t broken. Didn t check the 3rd. I usually get my period 7 days after the last pill. Today is the 7th day and I still haven t got my period. Can you please advise if I can be pregnant? When should I take the pregnancy test to confirm?
Missing pills while on oral contraception increases the risk of pregnancy. The fact that you used spermicides and natural protection together with condoms is quite reassuring.
On the other hand, because your periods are 7 days late, you will need to have a urinary pregnancy test to rule pregnancy out. If the test comes out negative then very likely your periods are late due to PCOS.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
