What Are Effects Of Chewing Tobacco Spit?

I m not sure if my son swallowed chewing tobacco spit.my 23year old lefted a spit bottle in the cup holder yesterday and I didn t realize it.and after I came to a stop sign and looked back at him I saw him with a spit cup.so if he swallowed it what should I do.and he s also cutting teeth and he didn t want to sleep last night and he s acting like his tummy hurts.please help,I m worried

I can understand the concern you are having to wards your son.

Chewed Tobacco spit usually contains remnants of tobacco mixed with saliva of the person.It can lead to gastritis causing burning stomach ache, It can even cause gastroenteritis like symptoms which includes vomiting and diarrhea. In case your son develops such symptoms try to maintain hydration by drinking enough water and liquid food. Please contact physician in case of such symptoms.
