What Are Fatigue, Earache And Stiffness On The Left Side Of Neck Suggestive Of?

Yesterday I went to a primary care dr and they sent me to the ER for an ECG and a CT scan. They told me my tests were fine but to follow up with a cardiologist within 72 hours. Today I feel tired and have an ear ache and a weirdness /stiffness on the left side of my neck. I m thinking that I am overly anxious is this something I should be concerned with?

Hello,

If you were told to see a cardiologist depending on your previous visit to ER, I would suggest you do it as per the advice. You have not mentioned what was the reason for your ER visit.

It’s normal to feel anxious when you are asked to visit specialist doctor.

But as you said the reports of ECG and CT are fine, do not worry and make an appointment with cardiologist. If the anxiety is getting worse, then visit the ER again if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
