What Are Fever, Diarrhea, Weakness And Pain In The Legs Suggestive Of?

My 67 year old sister asked me to check her symptoms since she cannot get to a doctor just yet. started out with a fever and sick stomach. then diarreah. Now that is better but her legs are so weak she cant stand more than a minute without pain and her arms are aching as well.

Hi welcome to the health care magic...

Because of dehydration and electrolyte loss your sister can have weakness..

It could be viral or bacterial gastroenteritis..

I will suggest you to investigate her with stool examination to look for pus cells and bacteria if present..If pus cells present than antibiotic course given

For viral symptomatic management done

Give her lots of fluid and ORS also to replenish lost electrolyte and water

Tablet vizylac taken to replenish lost bacterial flora..If secretory diarrhea more than racecadotril antisecretory drug can be given ..
