What Are Increased Appetite And A Feeling Of Bloating Suggestive Of?
I ve been an athlete all my life and I ve always been able to scarf down anything and everything and not gain a pound. Now im 18 years old and anytime I get hungry I get so hungry that im nauseous but I eat anyways and can only eat maybe a few bites of my food and become full. I either have to sit and wait awhile before im able to start eating my meal again or i just box it and put it in the fridge. There is definitely something wrong and my father can tell but we are not sure what to do
You said so yourself, you used to "scarf" everything down. Now you need to practice slowly eating and chewing and take your time in swallowing. Practice mindful eating.
No longer can you hurry your meals but intentionally must slow down your eating.
Do not drink liquid before or with meals. If symptoms persist, see your doctor about reflux esophagitis which is when the esophagus narrows and limits the amount of food that can go down causing it to come back up occasionally.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Kathy Shattler, Dietitian & Nutritionist
