What Are Itching Sensation During Urination With Brown Vaginal Discharge Suggestive Of?
when urinate have an itching sensation; no burning or pain either during or after urination. might I consider an OTC product to see if symptoms clear up? No discharge normally associated with yeast infection; sometimes have some brownish discharge; I have no sense of smell so am unaware if any odor to discharge. I am an otherwise healthy 70 year old female; not on any prescription drug for any physical ailments.Thank you

Hello,
Itching sensation during urination along with vaginal discharge is indicative of UTI. Since you are having brown discharge it could be PID or spotting as you are in the menopausal phase.
You are suggested to visit a gynae, get clinically examined & assessed. You may have to go through a few bloods, Urinalysis(R/E & C/S) or Imaging tests.
You will be treated depending upon the pathology detected & severity of the infection. You need a course of antibiotics, analgesics & vitamins.
Stay well hydrated, avoid using public washrooms, do not share your toiletries. Avoid sex for a couple of days. while you are being treated.
