What Are Itchy Red Bumps On Elbows, Hands, Abdomen And Thighs Suggestive Of?

Hi I have small red bumps on both arms from elbows down to hands, on abdomen and on thighs. It started on left forearm that does itch. I am 44 year old female with a lot of health issues like diabetes, hypertension, hypercholestreol, bulimia, depression, barretts, PCOD, and more. any advice? possible chicken pox?

Hi,

As per your query, you have symptoms of itchy red bumps on elbows, hands, abdomen and thighs which seems to be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis and it could be due to viral infection due to weakened immunity of the body.

Need not to worry. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing them with anyone. You should avoid touching or pricking bumps. I would suggest you apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes. You should take a course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep the area little dry. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keep on persisting. Start treatment after complete examination and proper prescription.
