What Are Itchy Scalp And Red Itchy Dots On Nape Suggestive Of?

My granddaughter had an itchy scalp and small red dots on the back of her neck that also itch. Lately it is happening to me too. I can not see any lice in either of us. Her mom and brother have no symptoms. We do not live together but are together a couple times a week.

Dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. Itchy dots could imply eczema but could also be neurodermatitis or actual insect bites.
