What Are My Chances Of Having A Kidney Failure?

Hello sir, i am diabetic since 20 years, now i am taking human mixtard insulin, morning 20 and night 10 units, but my hight is 158 cms, my body is not devloped, and now in my urine sample albumin is present, but the blood creatinine and urea are normal, and i also i scaned my kidney it is normal. the nephrologist suggest me that they give me tablet Ramace 2.5 mg and Telminorm 20 mg, is there any problem to kidney failure and how can i develop my body, weight and hight

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
In Longterm diabetes there are chances of kidney damage after 15-20 years.. But at present you don't have kidney failure. So don't worry.
My advice to you -

1.Your doctor has prescribed you a wrong combination for hypertension treatment. One of them should be changed. Both have nearly same mechanism of actions and combination may damage kidneys.

2.Adequate control of diabetes will prevent kidney damage and reduce urine albumin which is actually first sign of kidney disease.

3 . Check your FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report every 3 monthly for adequate sugar control.

4.You haven't mentioned your age. Actually after 22 years of age, it's not possible to increase the height. In insulin dependent diabetes weight is usually low. Also excessive calories are not allowed. So weight gain is also difficult. DO regular exercise and eat healthy diet is the only option.
