Hi, I m 53 and have been running a low grade fever of 99 - 100.9 this is thgthge 3 rd day now. My normal temp is 96.8. Two of my grand children haved been diagnosed with pneumonia and have either finished or are still taking antibiotics. Should I be checked for it as well? General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because you do not have a cough, shortness of breath or fatigue, there is no reason for you to see the doctor now.
If your fever lasts more than 4-5 days or if you develop any new symptoms are any worse, you will need to see a doctor to rule out pneumonia (lung infection) as the cause of your symptoms.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
