What Are Recurring Episodes Of Impaired Balance And Dizziness Suggestive Of?

My daughter (13) had an episode where she felt like she was going to fall over and that her hands were disinegrating from the fingers to her elbows but without pain. It happened a few other times to a much lesser degree. She has also had dizzy spells - brief, like 10 - 60 seconds, throughout the day for the past 6 weeks. Her ears were checked and fine.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an inner ear related problem. As of now, you can take drugs like betahistine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
