What Are Severe Pain In The Back And Recurring Cough Suggestive Of?

Hi, I m Kathryn and I was sick recently and had a bad cough with lots of fulim. It lasted 3weeks. I did get treatment but the fulim keeps me coughing. Now I am have great pain in my back and Esophagus. Should I see a doctor or just eat soft food, water with baking soda and wait it out?

Hello,

I think the pain in your back and oesophagus as you call it, is due to stomach hyperacidity (most probably acid reflux). You can have an antacid or soda drink and wait if any improvement.

If no betterment should see your doctor. In that case, you might need upper endoscopy for final diagnosis and treatment strategy.
