What Are Spreading Itchy Rashes On The Legs, Back And Arms Suggestive Of?

I have a rash on my legs and it started with a small pink circle and has spread to larger irregular shapes that itch. It seems that heat makes it itch more. These are on the back lower part of my legs and a little bit on my middle part of arm. Could I have Pityriasis Rosea?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms suggest allergy/excessive sweating or fungal infection.

Happy antifungal dusting powder (like Candid powder over the counter) frequently after cleaning & drying the part.

An anti-allergic pill like levocetirizine once a day can be added of no relief with powder in 3-4 days.

You may need other specific medications advised by a dermatologist. In case of no relief at all with home management on a weeks time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
