What Are The After Effects Of Nevus Removal?

My 15 year old daughter was just diagnosed with Linear Sebaceous Nevus. They recommended we have the nevus removed. It is behind her left ear back to the hairline and then goes above to the front of the ear. Nothing was mentioned to us about any other health issues she may have or may develop. Since because of her age and really has not had any of the severe symptoms associated with this syndrome, should i be concerned?
