Reading the side effects online are un nerving, is there a better antidepressant that does not list suicide ideation, abnormal thoughts, disturbed sleeping etc as common side effects? These are some of the mesons he has been diagnosed in the first place! Thanks

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

According to guideline, wellbutrin is not first line of antidepressant for depression. I would suggest SSRIs like paroxetine, escitalopram etc that would help to control depressive symptoms in better way. SSRIs are bettter than wellbutrin in controlling depressive symptoms, so try to shift to out of these after discussion with psychiatrist.

Thanks
