Hi, i recently found out i was pregnant very early in the first trimester, i am concerned as i have chronic neck pain from a mva 9months ago and i have been taking Oxycodone 5-10mg for pain relief PRN. Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should consult a gynaecologist and get your ultrasonography test done to rule out any birth defect in baby.
In first trimester you should avoid to take any medication because foetal organ formation occurs in this period.
Paracetamol is as such safe in pregnancy.
If no birth defect in ultrasonography you can continue your pregnancy under supervision of a gynaecologist.
I think I have answered your query If you have further questions I will be happy to help you.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr. Richa
