What Are The Brown Spots Under My Tongue?

Hi, I noticed a few months back a brown spot under my tongue and thought nothing of it. But looking closely more recently it looks like it is spreading. I do smoke (not too heavy) and I do drink at weekends, I haven t consulted my gp as of yet. Should I be worried?

Thank you for your query.
This brown spot may be a hemangioma, keratotic spot (as you are a chronic smoker) or any cystic lesion because of poor oral hygiene a smoker commonly have. I think you need to consult a surgeon and keep close watch on that whether it is increasing in size or not? You may go for atleast a FNAC to obsolete your worry.
