What Are The Causes And Remedy For Sharp Pain In The Ear?

For the past roughly 24 hours, I have been having a shooting sharp pain behind my left ear. When I touch that area, the bone that is there is tender to the touch although I haven t had any injury. The shooting pain only last a few seconds, but occurs every couple of minutes. I am an otherwise healthy 27 year old female.
