What Are The Causes Of Having Lower Abdominal Pain, Back Pain And Cramps After Finishing Periods?

Hi, I have had low abdo and back pain crampy in nature and very much like period pains for several days since my period has finished, has woken me up at night. Bowels normal, no urinary symptoms. It is my second period since having my 3rd baby who is 8 months old.

HI. This typical pain can be due to retained clots in uterus. As there are no bowel or urinary symptoms, do not worry much. It may be advisable to go for Sonography of abdomen. and see the Gynecologist if the problem persists or recurs after next period.
