What Are The Chances Of STD Through French Kiss?
Hi, I have a question regarding the possible contraction of a STD.
I am interested in understanding the possibility of contracting an STD from Kissing or "french Kissing".
I was at a strip club 4 days ago and the dancer put her tongue in my mouth for only a couple seconds (i'd say 5 seconds or less). I did notice a fair amount of saliva on my lips after I pulled back. I am very concerned that I could have caught an STD. Primarily AIDS or HEP C. I have at times had cold sores and sores in mouth area, although that day i did not have any cold sores or open sores that I was aware of.
Since that day, I have developed a minor sore in my throat. Although, I suspect (hope) that it was caused by me throwing up later that night. I will sometimes get sores in mouth and throat after I throw up. I am hoping thats the case.
I am greatly concerned, please help.

Kissing and exchange of saliva is not much of a risk factor in terms of STD's unless and until there are sores in the oral mucosa, which does increase the risk. Saliva in fact has anti-hiv properties.
Hep C is not transmitted through kissing or saliva. The most common route of transmission of Hep C is through contaminated blood ( e.g sharing needles in infection drug users). In fact Hep C is not even considered to be a sexually transmitted disease.
The only STD that is likely to be transmitted by kissing is herpes labialis (HSV type 2 virus).
Your sore throat is most likely not related to this particular sexual act
