What Are The Chances Of Getting Pregnant After Having Sex During Periods?
Hello doctor, I had my periods on may 18. Nd had an intercourse a week later ... So i took an Ipill so my periods came early... I.e. on june 4th... I had an intercourse on the last day of my period i.e. june 8... Is there any chance of me getting pregnant? Should I take an ipill now ?
You can conceive after having intercourse during your period if you have short menstrual cycles, as this means you ovulate a few days earlier, and closer to the end of your period. Getting pregnant when you are on your period is very unlikely. However, there is a small chance you can conceive this time during your cycle. You should take the I pill for precaution.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
