What Are The Chances Of Getting Pregnant While Ovulating?

I ended my period on April 14th, 2011. I then had unprotected sex on April 20th, 2011 and I looked online at the ovulation calendar and it said i was kinda ovulating. I was just wondering that even if I had sex on the 20th, is it still possible that I could get pregnant days after sex?

Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

Sperm live inside your body for up to 72 hours after ejaculation so it is possible you can conceive even up to 3 days after you ovulate.

There is no statistic that can be quoted
about the percent risk of pregnancy with each cycle, but it is still more likely you will not conceive.

However I would do a pregnancy test if you miss your period.

I hope I adequately answered your question and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes, Dr. Brown
