What Are The Chances Of Having Twins With Fet Of 4 Frozen Embryos?

Hi doc I have started my protocol for my fiirst FET after faling pregnant with our first ivf cycle and I am now on estrofem, meticorten and Lipton inject going back next week for my first scan after starting meds. The only problem I have was that I was sterilized with being forced to sigh. Forms after my third child in a government hospital of course and me and my husband really want twins to complete our family, how possible is that as I have 4 embies frozen all 8cell.

When multiple embryos are implanted in IVF, after few days, their growth is seen and then selective abortions of few embryos is performed so that the woman does not have to carry the burden of multiple pregnancies.

Since, you want selectively twins, you may request your IVF consultant accordingly so that he/she see the possibility in fulfilling your wish.

However, before taking the final decision of twin pregnancy, please try to understand the consequences of multifoetal pregnancy. You have additional burden to bear, the chances of preterm delivery giving birth to small babies, less weight of each baby are few important of them. Please learn all of them in details from your Obstetrician before taking any decision about twin pregnancy.
