My daughter in law Dr Astha 30,5'4'',DED 20 Sept'11 -+7 days Today's Ultra sound showed three cord loops around foetus neck with perhaps no loose cord left and head thus head not yet fixed in pelic area. What are prognosis of normal delivery ? Can foetus neck be freed now from loops of cord & how ?

Do NOT attempt for normal/vaginal delivery, as cord loops may tighten when head delivers causing aspyxiation of baby and stillbirth. Caesarean Section is the choice of treatment, this operation is very safe and will ensure healthy mother and baby.
