What Are The Chances Of Positive Pregnancy Having Symptoms Like Sore Breast, Nausea And Light Spotting?
My husband and I are trying to conceive. We had unprotected sex around my guessed time of ovulation. Now I m 4 days late, have sore breasts, am nauseous whenever I eat, and have minor spotting. Not even enough to make it to a pantyliner. I did two home pregancy test and the were negative. I went to my local doctor and I also had a negative urine test and my blood work came back as 1mIU/ml . I have previous healthy full term pregnancy and one tubal. My question is; am I pregnant? If not what could be causing my symptoms?
Hi, Technically, a hCG value of more than 5 mIU/ml. is considered to be positive for pregnancy at this stage. The exclusion of pregnancy through several urine tests and also the blood test rules out the possibility of pregnancy. It is more likely that you could be having a breakthrough bleeding secondary to some hormonal imbalance which often happens once in a while even in those normal cycles. You can have a trans-vaginal sonogram after a couple of days to clarify the issue. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
