What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Taking ECP After Having Unprotected Sex And Pregnancy Test Showed Negative?

hi, I had unprotected sex a few days ago, I took the ECP after 2 hours of the unprotected sex. my question is that this month my period is delayed alot. I am suppose to get my periods on the 17th but I have not got it yet, what should I do about it? I have taken a pregnancy test at home as well and got a negative result, some say I need to take a pregnancy test after 14 days of unprotected sex.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Any contraceptive is not 100% safe.
Emergence contraceptive can also result in pregnancy.
A negative pregnancy rules out pregnancy.
However you can get it done after few days.
A positive pregnancy test depends on HCG levels ahich slowly increases after conception.
The levels of HCG are maximum at 60-70 days after conception.
The levels start increasing after 10 days of contraception.
Delay in periods is commonly seen in healthy females.
You can wait for couple of days.

Thanks and take care
