What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Taking Contraceptive Pills?
Hi, we had sex on 2rd Jan 2015, the condom broke and I withdrew from her. I didn't cum inside her. But I'm worried about pre-cum. She took ECP on 3rd Jan 2015 (but before 24 hours). It has been a week now, still there is no sign of bleeding. We are worried. Could you please help us.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. - Precum/scanty semen entering while the condom was torn, can cause pregnancy, - Emergency contraceptive pill ,when take within 72 hours of unprotected sex, prevents pregnancy. Usually withdrawal bleeding occurs 8-10 days after taking pills. But, if the sex was at end of cycle, it may cause delay in coming periods. Please don't worry. the doubt of pregnancy can be cleared by Blood HCG testing / urine pregnancy test after 10- 15 days delay in periods. Thanks.
