What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Taking Ipills?
Hi there
I take my birth control religiously, never missed a pill, and I am currently on my 3rd month. I had my period Jan 2-6. My period tracker estimated my ovulation to end the 28th, based on my 42day cycle. However, my boyfriend came in me the 9th and I took plan b the 10th, which changed my cycle to 32days. I had my period again the 29th- 3rd. My boyfriend came in me the sunday the 1st and again last night. Both times without a condom, but like I previously said, I am on birth control. Today I am really really dizzy. Is there a possibility I am pregnant?? I'm freaking out.
As you have been on birth control and also have taken plan B as a precaution, pregnancy is unlikely but it is still safer to rule it out with the help of a home pregnancy test using an early morning urine sample.
Once pregnancy is ruled out, the more likely cause in my opinion is a hormonal imbalance. More often than not, plan B causes a hormonal imbalance which can cause symptoms like menstrual irregularities and inter-menstrual bleeding. In my opinion, this is more likely and is self-limiting so it should settle in a while.
Best wishes.
