What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy If Experiencing Symptoms After Unprotected Sex?

hi I really want to know of im pregnant but Im scared that a pregnancy test will come out negative. my man and I have been having unprotected sex for about a month now. I've been very gassy more that before more so in the mornings or during the night time. I constantly feel like I got to poop. I've been more tires then usual for the past week but I sleep about 8 or 9 hours a night an even have time a nap. I got my period but it was very different then before there were lots of clumps an bright red blood. also it last the usual 5 days but barely anything blood would come out only when I push really hard if I wasn't wearing a tampon. so could I be pregnant?

Hallow dear,

The main and cardinal symptom of pregnancy is missing a period. You have not missed your period, you got it. So the chances of pregnancy seem to be very poor.

The other symptoms of pregnancy are nausea & vomiting, frequency in urination and breast changes which include engorgement, tenderness and darkening of nipples and areola with increase in areolar size.

However, if you feel you had abnormal type of bleeding with clots, you have to confirm certain things. Were the clots whitish? If so abortion has to be ruled out. In this, urine pregnancy test will be of very little help. I would suggest you to get the ultrasonography performed.

If there is no evidence of pregnancy or abortion, your picture suggests hypothyroidism. In that case, please get your T3, T4 and TSH evaluated in the blood.

Depending upon the results of investigations, please report to the Obstetrician or Physician.
